Kaeli Nichols

Kaeli is currently the Butterfly Biologist and Education Specialist at the Cockrell Butterfly Center. Initially, Kaeli was on track to teach high school Biology and English after graduating from LSU, but her career path took a slight turn when she decided to pursue the path of conservation education. Kaeli has worked at a number of facilities including the Audubon Butterfly Garden & Insectarium, the Audubon Aquarium, and Moody Gardens where she implemented her knowledge of both conservation and education. Kaeli now spends her days making sure that the thousands of butterflies at the Butterfly Center are safely shipped in as pupae and are cared for as they go through their life cycle.
